1875 Togus Lithograph -- Building Roads at Togus

The lithograph above depicts the building of roads at the National Military Asylum at Togus around 1775. The more prominent two roads do not align with the 1878 lithograph of Togus that identifies the "Trotting Track" road. There appears to be a road at the far left of this image. The far left location is a better match for the road's location. The storyboard below presents a map of the Nature Trails at Togus. The Foggy Bottom Trail may be the continuation of the "Trotting Track."

The staff at the Togus VA library were most helpful in providing the content for this post.
